Perhaps when sending an e-mail, of any importance, it should be followed by a vital phrase that many active and progressive institutions are committed to today: “Please take into account the environment before printing this message”, which means that the use of paper and ink causes serious damage to the environment and contributes to climate degradation.
There is a tree called the “actalibus” tree and the leaves are made of all kinds of dough, which is extracted from them, and the unfair daily depletion of the forests of “Actalibus” has led to large-scale desertification in many parts of the world, in addition to the depletion of palm forests, whose trees make vegetable oils of all kinds, and some of its components also enter many organic and chemical industries.
Because the prosperity of the earth’s climate and environment depends on the prosperity of natural diversity, including the prosperity of tree forests, the daily and unjust depletion of those forests, and many others, has disrupted climate balance and exacerbated global warming, draining them with desertification of their forests, as well as carbon, machinery exhausts, factory machinery and vehicles that increase environmental pollution, all of which disrupt the global climate and environmental balance, as heat increases are caused by desertification of forests, and the consumption of trees.
There is also the melting of vast areas of ice in the polar regions, caused by these gases, exhausts and carbon emissions, as well as the depletion of tree forests and the elimination of natural diversity, threatening the impossibility of a liveable life on the planet for future generations.
One of the 17 most important sustainable development goals was to preserve the environment, eliminate global warming and replace traditional energy resources with safer and more gentle resources for the climate and the environment. Hence the trend towards supporting the global knowledge system and the knowledge economy, for which technology comes as its most important tool and set of resources.
This, in turn, provides vital economic alternatives to most of the resources that human beings consume on a large daily basis to serve it, and the requirements of its life, for which its consumption makes the existence of a life fit to live on the planet become obsolete.
Because development requires sustainability, future generations have the right to live safely on this planet, and nothing can achieve it other than the thinking of today’s generations about sustainability in the development project, and the alternatives that can make life viable, not only today, but today, tomorrow and in the future, which is also about the right of all beings, and not only a right limited to the human race, to existence. And to talk the rest.
